One of the most popular figures for stone carvings is the Buddhist figure of the Divine Feminine, Kwan Yin. She is also known as the Boddhisattva of Compassion, and may be more beloved than the Buddha himself. Kwan Yin is known as a calm and loving figure who quiets fears and aids people in their struggles. She is often seen riding a dragon, symbolizing how enlightened compassionate awareness can tame the fiercest energies.

We recently acquired about a dozen beautifully carved Kwan Yin figures, made in clear Quartz, standing on striped transparent Fluorite bases. The figures, with base, are five to six inches tall, and they are very uniquely carved. The body of the figure has a 'frosted' quartz finish, while the face and head are highly polished. This brings the focus of attention to the delicately carved face of each statue. We feel that the choice of clear Quartz and Fluorite for these carvings was an excellent one, because Quartz is emblematic of the Clear Light of enlightened awareness, and Fluorite is a helpful grounding stone. (What better material for the pedestal of a Divine being?) There is something sweet and wonderful about these statues of Kwan Yin, and we trust there will be those among our readers who her Her call, and who will chose to bring her energy more fully into their lives
